KEPCO SPC Power wins contract for heavy electrical equipment inspection service
"Differentiated technology, the greatest weapon for conquering the global market"

PACT-Alliance, located in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province, has won a series of overseas contracts related to heavy electrical equipment management.
In the heavy electrical equipment management market, which is virtually monopolized by large global companies, a Korean company that was established less than five years ago is gaining attention.
◆ "Starting with the Philippines, we begin full-scale overseas expansion"
PACT-Alliance announced that it conducted two insulation diagnostic tests at the Cebu Power Plant in the Philippines in August and October. They are a core health assessment for the generator of Unit 1 and an insulation diagnostic test for the rotating machine of Unit 2. It is
also preparing to build a power plant facility management platform with Libridge Co., Ltd. and to advance into Southeast Asian power plants, including Malaysia.
Heavy electrical equipment such as generators and motors used in industrial

In Korea, there are the Korea Electric Power Research Institute and KEPCO KPS that can comprehensively test generators, transformers, and motors, but PACT-Alliance is the only company that manages and analyzes test data.
◆ Standing out for its unrivaled insulation diagnosis technology for heavy electrical equipment
PACT-Alliance, which started as an in-house venture of Korea East-West Power in 2019, has insulation diagnosis for heavy electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and motors as its core business.
The 'AI platform for heavy electrical equipment diagnosis' that PACT-Alliance successfully developed for the first time in Korea is used for various high-voltage facilities such as motors and transformers, and the 'heavy electrical equipment health analysis system' applied to this platform is patented.
Efficiency has been innovatively improved as a significant portion of the diagnosis work that was previously done manually is now processed through AI.
CEO Lee Sang-hoon said, “We are the first to apply an AI platform to offline test data of heavy electrical equipment,” and added, “We can monitor diagnosis results in real time using our own developed app, so companies are highly satisfied.”
In particular, PACT-Alliance’s differentiated technology is expected to shine even brighter through its Philippine business. This is because it can inspect heavy electrical equipment in the Philippines in real time from Korea and provide local solutions when problems arise.

CEO Lee explained, “In the past, for overseas diagnosis, it was natural to have equipment and experts go to the site, diagnose, and return to analyze the data,” and “We can reduce costs and time by collecting information in real time through equipment installed in the Philippines and transmitting the results of the analysis through an app.”
CEO Lee added that it is different from other testing companies in that it not only diagnoses immediate problems but also predicts future data, allowing facility managers to perform planned maintenance in advance.
◆ Government and local government support is fully effective
Another factor in PACT-Alliance’s growth can be found in the support of the government and local governments. Like other startups, it received support from various policies operated by the central government and local governments.
The representative said, "Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency received interest support for entrepreneurship education and a loan for the construction cost of the office building completed in 2021, and a facility fund loan from the Small and Medium Venture Business Agency." He added, "In addition, we were able to lay the foundation for the company with support for research projects from Chungnam Techno Park and prototype and ISO certification support from Chungnam Industry-Academia Convergence Center."
