[Energy Daily Reporter Song Byeong-hoon] As the in-house venture PACT-Alliance of Korea East-West Power (President Il-Jun Park)  was selected for a technology startup support project hosted by the government,  it gained strength to develop a facility diagnosis solution using an artificial intelligence platform.


According to East-West Power on the 13th, the AI platform for diagnosing heavy electric equipment being developed by Pact-Alliance, the second in-house venture , tests high-voltage electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and motors and analyzes the data. In the past, it was difficult to analyze the trend of data by writing and storing the facility diagnosis report as a document. can be derived.

In addition, it is expected to become a promising post-coronavirus technology by improving the existing on-site inspection-oriented diagnosis method and enabling non-face-to-face facility management through the platform.

The PACT-Alliance was launched in the '2020 Startup Growth Technology Development Project' contest hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency, targeting 3 fields of future-oriented new technologies (4th industry, materials/parts/equipment, and new industry) for 5 months. At the end of the screening process, the potential and development capabilities of the 'Artificial Intelligence Platform Development Project for Heavy Electric Equipment Health Checkup' were recognized and finally selected as a target for support.


In this regard, on the 9th, a business support agreement was signed, and the company plans to complete the development of an artificial intelligence platform for heavy electric equipment health checkup by July 2022 with a total project cost of 400 million won for two years from the Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency.

In addition, it is planning to hire young technical talents to develop solutions, and support the activation of recruitment of venture companies that have recently been contracted by the impact of COVID-19.

An official from East-West Power said, “I am happy that the development of solutions for in-house ventures will gain more momentum with this government-supported project selection. everything,” he said.

Since its establishment in September of last year, PACT-Alliance has been recognized for its technological prowess and growth potential by simultaneously acquiring a venture company certificate and ISO9001 and ISO14001 through the Technology Guarantee Fund screening in March of this year under the systematic support of East-West Power, and is showing steady sales growth.

Since 2018, East-West Power has been working to revitalize in-house venture start-ups by discovering three in-house venture teams and establishing a support system tailored to the characteristics of public enterprises. In February, it was selected as the best company in the 2019 in-house venture operation company performance evaluation by the Startup Promotion Agency. Received the highest award, the Minister of Small and Medium Venture Business Award.
